5 months ago I began learning about game development and Unity from YouTube tutorials. I'm don't have a background in computer science and programming. I don't have a background in art and music. But I thought it would be interesting to make games because in life we mostly live and work to solve challenges, and in making games we get to make challenges.

So I put some time and effort into learning and building and this is my first game! 😲🫣

Get To The Chopper is a 3D run around, shoot'em up, survive the horde game inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic exclamation in Predator.

The game starts every level with you in the middle of the jungle where you are surrounded on all sides by enemy soldiers. Your only hope is to find and get to the chopper before it leaves.

Lucky for you, the enemy shot down our cargo plane and there are plenty of supplies on the ground. You can pick up ammo, first-aid, maps, and even trigger explosives to help you survive.

I tried to give the game more depth with different types of enemies, such as snipers who can shoot you from afar, and tanks that can only be killed by explosives. I also created different difficulty levels and different play styles such as surviving until the chopper comes to you.

For now the game is complete but I think I might modify it soon to add new levels and enemies.
